The 2017 edition of the Taipei International Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS) wrapped up on March 12 after breaking the show's visitor and exhibitor counts as well as booth usage numbers.

The show also registered record numbers in terms of exhibitors and booth spaces used, with 1,100 enterprises from 21 countries exhibiting across 5,430 booth spaces.
More than 200 one-on-one procurement meetings were conducted on the sidelines during the show period. It was estimated that, altogether, the meetings generated over US$30 million in business.
The first-ever TIMTOS Summit was also held during the show period. The event was joined by a panel of experts and business leaders from CISCO, SICK, SIEMENS, NVIDIA, Mercedes-Benz, KUKA and Bosch Rexroth AG as well as various high-profile Taiwanese enterprises to discuss the topics of Industry 4.0+ and smart manufacturing. The summit opened to a packed audience of 500 professionals.
The next TIMTOS is scheduled to take place from March 5-10 in 2019. By then, the construction of the new Nangang Exhibition Hall 2 will have been completed, and it will provide the necessary space to expand the scale of the show to a new high.
