KAOHSIUNG --(ASIA TODAY)-- The 2016 Taiwan International Fruits & Vegetables Show (TFVS) successfully concluded from November 10-12, 2016 at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center. Sphere Exhibits Malaysia Sdn Bhd co-organized with its Taiwan partner My Exhibition, and received supports from local agency and the City of Kaohsiung.
Co-hosted with the second Taiwan International Fishing Exhibit, TFVS has over 150 companies from 10 nations exhibited, and received around 5,000 foreign and domestic buyers.
TFVS has shown diverse sections for fresh fruit and vegetables, whole wheat products and nuts, production machinery, transportation machinery and service machinery, as well as seminars on Advantages in Vital Agricultural Technologies, Price Adjustment in Production and Digital Marketing.
Taiwan’s machinery industry has met much overseas competition in recent years, and has been looking to gain the edge in sales and service. As the industry launches a campaign to make strides in improving the safety and health of food, it also has endeavored to make stride in biological technology. Given the diversity of Taiwan’s food culture, the innovations in food and technology seen at the show will no doubt increase the strength of and the interest in the Taiwanese market.
Food safety has become a universal task undertaken by producers and consumers globally. From green energy, clean cultivation to modern fisheries, Asian countries have been committed to promoting higher quality standard of food products, and Taiwan's industry has been a driving force in bringing about that change.
The international discussions at the event included the International Fruit Marketing Forum, led by Taiwanese economic experts and with talks by experts from around the world.
All in all, organisers have aimed to make TFVS a flagship fruit and vegetable convention in Asia. The local governments of Taichung, Kaohsiung, Hualien, Pingtung and Tainan were also strong supporters of making this goal a reality.
