Taiwan Beauty Pop-Up Store Thrills Malaysia

Taiwan’s beauty product industry saw a surge in export performance in recent years, growing 13.32% in the past three years. The total export reached a historical high of USD 832 million in 2018 following an annual growth of 11.33% which puts it far above the aggregate Taiwanese export growth of 5.9%. To further assist the Taiwanese beauty product industry to expand globally, TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) set up a Taiwan Beauty Pop-Up Shop at Kuala Lumpur’s MyTown Shopping Centre from the 19th to 21st April 2019 for Malaysians to experience Taiwanese beauty products up close.

TAITRA was commissioned by Taiwan’s Bureau of Foreign Trade to organize the pop-up shop as part of the Taiwan Beauty Products Promotion Plan 2019 under Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy. This B2C marketing event and B2B business matching event is expected to pave the way for Taiwanese beauty products to make inroads into the Malaysia beauty product market.

A total of 13 brands was participating in the pop-up store bringing a wide range of beauty products and make-up. Amongst the high-quality products are masks such as Timeless Truth Mask, Maskindom, Bonanza Zymo Excitative Membraneous KFM Mask and My Scheming. As for beauty products, we have Natural Beauty, Scent Dom, FucoBelle, Bravura, Paskin, Lab 101, Skin Vitality, Pure Art, TS6, etc.

Taiwan Beauty Pop-Up Shop was the first tailor-made marketing campaign for Taiwanese beauty product manufacturers. Besides the amazing products on display, the organizer also arranged for renowned influencers to live broadcast their experience with the products as well as famous local make-up artists to helm the pop-up store for a day. Consumers wishing to try or buy the products are welcomed to visit the pop-up store during the event.
