PENANG, MALAYSIA: 16 – 19 APRIL 2019 --( ASIA TODAY )-- Arkadin Cloud Communications, the world’s fastest growing Cloud Communications Services Provider and a member of NTT Communications, recorded an impressive year growth, especially in the sales of its products jointly developed with Microsoft, Cisco and BlueJeans, wherein year-on-year growth rates of 543%, 35% and 25% were achieved respectively.

Arkadin APAC rolled out its 4-day-3-night annual kick-off in Penang, Malaysia, to celebrate its nineteenth year in operations as the provider of first-class Cloud Communications solutions. Its collaborators include the world’s leading technology providers such as Adobe, Cisco, IBM, Microsoft, inXpo, BlueJeans, Kollective and Poly.

Themed “TIDE” (which stood for “Together In Delivering Excellence”), this annual Kick-Off event happened in 3 locations simultaneously around the globe. With 150 attendees in the APAC Kick-Off alone, a global webcast was organized across the three TIDE locations to connect more than 1300 attendees around the globe.

Mr. Sean Kwek, Managing Director of Arkadin APAC explained, “It is no longer about managing people. It is about empowering, coaching and guiding them, as well as to involve them in the processes of decision making efficiently.

In the past, large enterprises would typically gather their 1000+ employees physically in one place for their townhall meeting, which is rather costly. Today, with our Cloud Communications and smart workspace solutions, we are able to reduce travelling costs, increase productivity workflow, as well as track employee engagement. In turn, the HR department would be able to assess engagement based on big data collected from the devices utilized during the various interactions.”

Providing a range of Unified Communications (including audio, web and video collaboration solutions), as well as virtual events, Arkadin prides itself in its strong global network of technology partners, and its position as a subsidiary of NTT Communications - one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world.

Mr. Junichi Kudo, Member of the Board, Senior Vice President, Head of Voice and Video / Applications and Content of NTT Communications sent a message to the APAC Kick-Off meeting, “As the leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) solutions, we have to constantly evolve and design solutions for challenges faced in the workplace. The recently launched Artificial Intelligence (AI) service is an example – a customizable solution designed to support digital transformation at corporations that encounter operational issues due to human error, labour shortages, or even increasingly diverse client contact.”

Designed to deliver powerful cloud-based communication solutions for the Small and Medium Business (SMB) market and developed in partnership with Cisco’s BroadSoft, Spoka will provide customers the simplest way to unify communications across their various business segments - from telephone calls, digital meetings, instant messaging, file sharing and more. The Unified Communications platform can also be accessed via all sorts of devices to enhance collaboration and increase productivity across teams.

“There is a belief that the consumption of new technology is primarily driven by large enterprises, and small enterprises are lagging behind. On the contrary, the reality is that a lot of new, small enterprises had been founded by millennials, and their appetite for technology is extremely strong (stronger than large enterprises). With this, we see them to continue leading technology consumption in the next 3 to 5 years, that’s why Arkadin developed Spoka.

This cloud-based, subscription model caters to SMBs who want a solution that is easy to use, scalable and cost-effective. Spoka was launched in Europe in March 2019, and is now available in Asia Pacific, including Malaysia,” explained Kwek.

Arkadin is a technology-agnostic organisation, delivering solutions to customers using the products that are best suited to their needs. Hence, Arkadin has developed strong, long-term relationships with the world’s best technology partners to offer best-in-class solutions.

David Rosengrave, Vice President (Sales & Marketing), Arkadin APAC said, “Having a clear product strategy with the vision aligned with our tech partners, allows us to leverage the power of the world’s best technologies to provide the best, customised solutions to our clients.”

As a top-tier global Cloud Communications provider, to date, Arkadin has hosted more than 3.8 million users, through more than 30.6 million meetings (100 meetings a day on average) across more than 30 countries. Clients include businesses in industries such as IT, Telecommunications, Marketing & Advertising, Financial Services, Construction, Insurance, Recruitment, and Banking, to name a few.

Arkadin believes that every child is different, and that we can do our part to help the less privileged children to have equal opportunities in life. As a company, Arkadin strives to help mould these children, by providing financial support to organisations such as The Children’s Protection Society, The Salvation Army Penang Children’s Home and Cambodian Children’s Fund who are making the commitment to develop and grow children.

“Our children are our future, and the future is in our hands. We believe that every child deserves an equal opportunity and chance in life,” said Kwek. “We will continue to contribute in any way we can, around the world, to genuine organisations that will help provide the underprivileged with a future.”

Arkadin contributes to the society based on the following pillars and values:
• Hunger & Livelihoods: Food security, livelihoods protection and strengthening, and poverty alleviation initiatives are essential underpinnings to ensure the survival, education and protection of children.
• Healthcare: Providing state-of-the-art life support ambulances and curative services, being at the forefront of efforts to prevent child deaths, with a focus on maternal, newborn, and child health and nutrition, alleviating hunger, as well as preventing and treating HIV and AIDS.

Arkadin and NTT Communications also presented a cheque of RM20,000 to The Children’s Protection Society, Penang, received by Ms. Magdeline Leong, Vice-President of The Children’s Protection Society, and a RM20,000 cheque to the The Salvation Army Penang Children’s Home, received by Becky Lurence, representative of The Salvation Army Penang Children’s Home, during the kick-off, as well as a RM2,000 raised during the Gala Dinner to the Cambodian Children’s Fund.
